Sr. Mortgage Advisor

Position Overview:

To originate residential mortgage loans for the bank, through the bank’s relationship with Eustis our third-party broker. Assist mortgage advisors with production in their respective areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Mortgage Origination – Goals set annually by management.

  • Maintain mortgage referral relationships within the bank network and externally.
  • Originate internal referred mortgage loans.
  • Originate external referred mortgage loans as needed.
  • Mortgage pipeline oversight to include assigning loans that come through the TFB application website.
  • Serve as a mentor to mortgage advisors. Assist in closing mortgage files.
  • Serve as point of contact for file review.
  • Review all suspense & denials in advance of notifying customer.
  • Manage lock dates and extensions on all files.
  • Stay current on job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Carry out mission of the bank by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Complete “Mortgage Tasks” as per attached.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Special Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or education related experience.
  • Two or more years of mortgage experience.
  • Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated.
  • Effective relationship management and customer service skills.
  • This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills, communication skills, as well as utilization of office equipment.
  • Compliance with SAFE Act legislation, which requires annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
  • Occasional travel b automobile.
  • Full-time hours required, with occasional overtime as necessary.
