Wire Specialist

Job Summary

The Wire Specialist performs a wide range of duties, including but not limited to processing Domestic and International Wire Transfers, auditing Wire Transfer Agreements, balancing wire reports daily, reviewing possible OFAC matches, processing incoming wires, and settling Fed account and correspondent accounts to Fed daily. As part of the Deposit Operations Department, you must also assist with other job duties as required by cross-training or coverage as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

These other duties could include stop payments, chargebacks, positive pay, ACH disputes, charge-offs, recoveries, teller balancing, check adjustments, collection items, fraud monitoring, customer service, ATM reconciliations, research, reclamations, dormant account monitoring, Reg CC holds and various reconciliations of accounts. Must be able to perform work independently, exercising independent judgment and discretion.

Job Skills and Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be able to use various types of office equipment.
  • Previous wire processing and/or deposit operations experience is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
