Job Summary
Performs a variety of accounting duties according to existing procedures, methods, and systems. Reconciles accounts.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Accounts payable functions.
- Responsible for verifying the approval source for paying a given invoice.
- Prepares checks to be issued to Bank vendors.
- Recap all Bank payables and post totals to the general ledger.
- Fixed Assets reporting includes tracking fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets.
- Investments accounting, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Assist with preparing the annual budget, 3-5 years, and capital plans.
- Assist with preparing the interest rate risk model and the analysis of the model.
- Assist with investment transactions and the analysis of the portfolio.
- Assist with preparing board and committee reports.
- Any other duties as requested by management.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred.
- Two or more years of accounting experience.
- Strong math aptitude and excellent analytical, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Excellent technical skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail, organization, and a high level of accuracy.
