Commercial Account Associate

Job Summary

Assist the Commercial Lines Department in the daily servicing of accounts. Provide this service by developing a professional rapport with business associates, company representatives and clients, by maintaining knowledge of commercial lines coverage and company underwriting guidelines.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Back up reception and mail room, answer, and route incoming calls, organize informing mail. Pull documents from company websites or scan received mail and place documents into CRS's folders. Pick up and prepare outgoing mail. Occasionally take mail to Post Office.
  • Check policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy of coverage, confirm detail exposures in AMS360, invoice as appropriate.
  • Renew policies in system including accuracy of coverage, confirm detail exposures in AMS, invoice as appropriate.
  • Issue certificates, evidence of insurance, Auto ID cards.
  • Prepare proposals and applications for delivery to clients.
  • Coordinate communications with co-workers by email, telephone or in person.
  • Any additional duties or functions necessary to fulfill the job requirements and as assigned by management.

Job Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Computer and data entry skills.
  • People skills and negotiating abilities.
  • Organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize, multi-task and flexibility with daily work.
  • Ability to work in a paperless environment.
  • Math aptitude and analytical abilities.
  • Texas General Agents License a plus.
  • AMS360 experience a plus.
